Amazon is the world’s largest online retailer but it’s not typically known as a digital advertising company.
However, it’s estimated that Amazon’s ad revenues will total $1.65 billion this year—less than Google or Facebook, but still placing it #5 on the list of greatest digital revenue sources in the US.
In fact, Amazon’s ad revenues are growing faster than ever, with a 48.2% increase expected in 2017. By 2019, Amazon will be earning over $3 billion in digital ad revenues. That’s 3% of all digital ad spending in the United States.
This is a powerful indicator of online ad-generated revenue.
