1. Ad growth for 2023-2024 is strong
    The U.S. advertising industry will grow 5% in 2023 to $360 billion and increase another 4.2% (excluding political advertising) in 2024.
    Including political advertising, ad revenue is forecast to grow 8.1% in 2024.
  2. Digital platforms: The big winners
    These include search, social, commerce, retail media, and digital video platforms, accounting for about 64% of all advertising in 2023.
  3. Traditional television
    National and local TV ad spending declined in 2023.
  4. Radio
    Radio alone is not showing growth, but add podcasts it does.
  5. Print Publications
    Print publications will continue to see the declines.
  6. Political Marketing
    The 2024 political season has begun. It will add roughly $17 billion in revenue.
