To maximize the number of leads, you never want to ask for too much information.

Any time you do ask for more information you will have a decrease in leads.

But if you simply ask for their name and say email address, you will be able to maximize your response.

To confirm this, we did a test recently for a political campaign to generate petition signers.

In one version we asked for the name, email address, address, city, and the state. In the second version, we simply asked for the name and email address.

What do you think the results showed?

The version asking for all the contact information cost a $1.50 per lead.

The version where we ask simply for the name and the email address was $0.94 per lead.

The difference was 37%!

That means more names or leads for less cost.
