Marketers using multichannel marketing usually report that direct mail generates a better ROI. The upfront cost may be higher, but the cost per lead or cost per sale is lower than other media.
Now a new neuroscientific study tracks with these findings. The Postal Service Inspector General’s office conducted this study and found that, although digital ads caught consumers’ attention more quickly, physical ads held their attention longer, caused a greater reaction, and had greater influence in purchasing decisions.
