1. Ad growth for 2024 is strong
    The U.S. advertising industry grew 5% in 2023 to $360 billion and increased another 4.2% (excluding political advertising) so far in 2024.
    Including political advertising, ad revenue is forecast to grow 8.1% in 2024.
  2. Digital platforms: The big winners
    These include search, social, commerce, retail media, and digital video platforms, are accounting for about 64% of all advertising. Truth Social, Rumble and X are among the fastest growing.
  3. Traditional television
    National and local TV ad spending declined in 2023. And the trend has declined more in 2024.
  4. Radio
    Radio alone is not showing growth, but adding podcasts does.
  5. Print Publications
    Print publications are continuing to see the declines.
  6. Political Marketing
    The 2024 political season has begun with a historic amount.
