So, I watch the market closely and find it’s not unlike other market segments. One of my favorite clients is Wine of the Month Club.

Part of what is happening with direct to consumer wine marketing is test results involve both email and SMS messaging.

First, most DTC wine markets have an email list of around 10,000.

The latest test results show that only 300 SMS contacts produce the same sales!

Here are the results of text messaging:

  • 3 times better open rates than email
  • 4 times more click through than email
  • 32 times more sales than email
